We got a few minutes with renowned artist Oliver Jeffers to ask him what Belfast meant to him for the 2023 Capital of Culture bid…
We’ve been working with the 2023 European Capital of Culture bid for Belfast and Derry/Strabane and producing social media content through Culture Night and beyond, delighted to be showcasing the arts in our part of the world.
An investigative documentary on domestic violence in Northern Ireland that we helped shoot will be broadcast tonight on BBC 1 NI. It was produced by multi-award winning journalist Brendan McCourt and his production company New Red Media and is presented by Judith Gillespie, ex – Deputy Chief Inspector of the Police Service of Northern Ireland.
We were commissioned by BBC NI to produce a short piece for this years Belfast Festival, a film reacting artistically to one of the events which could be used online, so it was a pleasure to stretch our creative limbs and use a mix of stock footage and the sublime poetry of Frank Ormsby to make this:
Belfast City Council commissioned us to produce a short film for the launch of the new Innovation Factory in West Belfast, a business incubation hub for the city. The film was used at the launch event and will be used to promote the facilities in the future. It was great to be involved with such a progressive project for the city.
ps – The aerial footage was borrowed, the rest is ours.
Working to advance social issues is one of our key goals at Bluebird and helping to deliver a project with long time clients and collaborators Alternatives NI and Prime Cut Productions saw the realisation of the short film CHOICES, a point of view piece developed by young people to prompt discussion around the challenges of making the right decisions on a daily basis.
Working with Terra Nova Productions we produced a series of videos to promote the Belfast Tempest as well as filming the whole show in glorious 4K. Here are a few of the teaser videos for the project:
